Silver Filled Dreams
Silverfyllda Drömmar(Silver Filled Dreams) was written for the Artists United fundraising event on May 8, 2017. Thebenefitwasa tribute to my father who passed away a week before the event. My family is Swedish so it seemed right to title this tribute to my father Swedish.Silverfyllda Drömmar translates to Silver Filled Dreams. The title comes from our last name Silverberg, and dreams because dad will live on in our memories. It has a mesmerizing opening and a very powerful middle section. The piece is a telling of my father's life and how much he is loved and will be missed. The piece was originally written for 2 flutes, clarinet, trumpet, and vibraphone but has gone through many different orchestrations. ~ M. Silverberg
